This recipe is loved by everyone in my family. It’s quick and easy to make. If you have a lunch box that can keep food warm. This can be a good kid’s lunch option.

This recipe makes 2 large pie. They can be cut to 12 small squares for 2-3 people.
Dough
1 | 350g | All-purpose flour |
2 | 210ml | Water |
3 | 1 pinch | Salt |
4 | 1 tbsp | Oil |
- Mix the above ingredients into a soft dough.
- Cover the surface with some oil and let it rest for 20 minutes.
Filling
1 | 300g | Ground beef |
2 | 1/4 cup | Stock |
3 | 1/2 tsp | Five spices |
4 | 1/2 tbsp | Finely chopped ginger |
5 | 1 tbsp | Tianmian sauce |
6 | 1/2 tsp | Salt |
7 | 1/2 tsp | MSG (optional) |
8 | 5 | Chopped green onion |
9 | 1 tbsp | Sesame oil |
- Mix 1-7 well until it becomes sticky. Using hand is easier for this step.
- Mix 8 and 9, then place it on top of the meat. Don’t mix it until making the pie.
Shape
- Put some flour on the countertop.
- Roll out the dough to a big rectangle shape about 3-4 mm thick.
- Roll it from one side all the way to the other side, then close the edges.
- Press it down first, then use a rolling pin to roll it out gently to a rectangle shape.
Cook
- Preheat a large non-stick pan.
- Add 1 tbsp oil, put the dough in and leave the top on.
- Cook the first side in the medium-low heat for 6-8 minutes. Then turn it over and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes.
- Cut it to six squares and serve.
